The purpose of this post is to give glory to God, to give biblical answers to questions, to bring people out of the darkness and into the light ,and to turn them from the power of Satan unto the power of God. We will be looking at scriptures in context, and at some words in their originally written language.The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek . Looking back at the original meaning of the words , opens our understanding and will give us the answers to the questions we will pose in this post .
I would like to make it clear that I am not bashing in hatred homosexuals.
I am only presenting the truth of God’s Word. John 8:31 & 32, Yehoshua said “If you continue in My Word , then are ye My disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” My hope is those who read this will put their trust in God’s Word instead of their own opinions.
Since the beginning, when God created mankind, all society has come from the covenant of marriage which God created. (see Gen. 1&2 ) This marriage between one man and one woman, Adam and Eve ; not Adam and Steve, has produced the great multitude we see today. Mark 10:6-9 “But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain (two) shall be one flesh so then they are no more twain but one flesh . What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. “
Today’s society is trying to do away with it’s own foundation, the sanctity of marriage between a man and woman. But above all, they are trying to do away with the One and only God who created the heavens and the earth.
Some of the questions we will answer are:
What does God say about where homosexual behavior comes from, and how does He feel about it?
What will happen to unrepentant people who live this way?
Is there hope for these people to change?
Why is homosexuality even an issue in the Church today?
God’s design of things is perfect and it works. Mankind in his rebellion against God always tries to improve on perfection, this cannot and should not be done. Our very God given anatomy of the male and female body proves our bodies were designed with the means to reproduce, and when used in line with God’s will it works! Imagine you are working on something, like plumbing, and you want to join two parts together, marry them, you’re not looking for two female parts or two male parts. You are looking for a male and a female. If everyone on Earth turned from straight to homosexual, the human race would be extinct. Not to mention we’d all be spending eternity apart from God, in the lake of fire. In fact, when anything is taken out of order of the way God has designed it, it is sin. Take for instance; food, sex, or money. When taken out of God’s order and exalted you fall into the sins of gluttony, fornication, and greed.
So, our first question to answer: What does God say about where homosexual behavior comes from, and how does He feel about it? “Because that, when they knew God they glorified Him not as God neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened…. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their bodies between themselves…For this cause God gave them up to vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things, which are not convenient.” Romans 1: 21, 21, 26-28
In verse 26 the words vile affections , this word vile in the Greek is atimia, this means passions of dishonor. Homosexuals want to be honored by society, whether in marriage or not. But God says their vile passions are passions of dishonor. Verse 27 says, “receiving in themselves that recompense (penalty) of their error which was due.” As we see AIDS exploding in the homosexual community it shows the Scriptures coming to life before our very eyes. The word reprobate is adokimos, signifying not standing the test, rejected (A, negative, dokimos approved) therefore we see this compound word means not approved. Please see Ro. 1: 18-32, if you read all of the passage you see that homosexuality is one consequence of rejecting God as Creator, not only for those who practice but also for those who approve. (vs. 32)
In Leviticus 18:1 and 22 it says, “And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying, ‘Thou shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.’ Abomination in Hebrew means detestable thing, loathsome thing. When we look at what the Yehovah calls an abomination; homosexuality being one of those things; we have more of an understanding of Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” This is clearly what the Bible teaches of those who choose to live this way. 1 Corinthians 6: 9-10, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? (Not go to heaven) Be not deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminates, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
What will happen to unrepentant people who live this way? Let us go back to 1 Corinthians 6: 9-10 the word “effeminate”, you see in the KJV. In the NKJV you see “homosexuals” this word was translated from the Greek word malakos; fine, soft, male prostitute, a homosexual who is the passive partner. If you go on in the verse… “Nor abusers of themselves with mankind” KJV or “sodomites” NKJV, this in the Greek is arsenokoites, one engaging in homosexual acts (likely referring to the active male partner), sexual deviant. Verse 10 ends in this, “shall not inherit the kingdom of God” The Word is clear, people who continue in this sin will not go to Heaven.
This word is also used in 1 Timothy 1:10 “For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine.” KJV The word doctrine means teaching. Anything that contradicts God’s Word, is contrary to sound doctrine.
Next we will look at Sodom and Gomorrah. The men in Sodom and Gomorrah were increasingly wicked. (See Genesis 19:15) The Bible teaches us that they wanted to have sex with the male travelers. Which were angels that came to destroy the city. God destroyed this city with fire. In Judges chapter 19 all Israel went up to Benjamin at Gilead and said to deliver all the children of Belial, men to them that they may put them to death. This city was also burnt. Belial means no profit, worthlessness, wickedness, destruction, abode of the dead. In searching this out I found nothing good about this. 2 Corinthians 6:15 says “what does Messiah have to do with Belial, or what does light to do with darkness?” Children of wickedness are children of Satan, not of God. It is clear as we “search the Scriptures” what God has to say about homosexuality, and the consequences thereof.
Is there hope for a man or woman who is in the sin of homosexuality? Even those who think they were born that way? YES YEHOSHUA! As we continue to examine 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and read verse 11 it says, “And such were some of you; but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Messiah Yehoshua, and by the Spirit of our God.” And John chapter three tells us that we must be born again! John 3:3, “Verily, Verily I say unto you except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” What you read in this 1 Cor. 6:11, “and such were some of you” signifies a changed life. You must call sin, sin and repent–a total change of mind and a turning away from one’s sins, and turning to God. Crying out to God, and asking Him to save you when you know that you cannot save yourself. Putting faith in the Messiah and excepting the atonement and the forgiveness for you sins, that God has provided through His Son. Then you have been justified, meaning your acquitted, you’ve been made right with God. Ask Him to come and live in your heart, by the power of the Holy Spirit, who is a consuming fire that will burn up everything that does not go along with God’s will. To be sanctified means to be set apart unto God, to live a life holy and pleasing to Yehovah. You cannot do this in the flesh, but by a new life in the Spirit. Romans 8:8-9 “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God, but ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of His.” If we do not have the Spirit of Messiah, then we don’t belong to Messiah and we have no right to call ourselves His followers.
So, why is homosexuality even an issue in “the Church” today? Today we’re seeing homosexual pastors, priests, and members of congregations. Contributing to this problem are pastors being ordained by men, and not by God. the corruption of seminaries; that are teaching philosophy and not God’s Word. Also, because of fellowships not looking to Scripture for what the qualifications for an elder are. The truth of the matter is people are not leaning on and trusting the Word, they are instead falling away from it. Amos 8:11, ” Behold the days are coming, says Yehovah, that I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst of water, but of hearing the words of Yehovah.”
We are also told, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; (teaching) but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4: 3-4 The word fables comes from the Greek word muthos, which mean fiction, myth, or lie. Muthos is the opposite of aletheia which is the Greek word for truth.
God is not who we make Him to be, He is who He is. Heaven is not what we make it to be. God made Heaven. If you don’t want to know Him and have a relationship with Him now, what makes you think you’d want to spend eternity in Heaven with Him?
We have seen in the light of God’s Word the answers posed to the questions. That God sees homosexuality as an abomination. That those who do not repent will be separated from God for all eternity in the lake of fire. That there is hope for these people to be born again, and be reconciled to God through His Son Yehoshua the Messiah.
Are you in the process of being sanctified, are you being conformed into the image of Messiah, while growing in your relationship with Him?

(This was originally written in 2009, and at the time we had saw an article in the local newspaper showing the results from the People’s Choice Awards. The favorite Pop song was Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” We looked up the lyrics online and saw these lines, “I got so brave, drink in hand lost my discretion” “Just want to try you on” “I kissed a girl and I liked it.” “It felt so right” “Just human nature” “Ain’t no big deal, it’s innocent.” If the people read their Bibles they would know that human nature and everything this song stands for is flat out against God. All these things, many people are singing, and getting in their brain, Satan is the master deceiver. He has an agenda, and music is one of the large avenues he uses. We recommend that you check out the documentary “They Sold Their Souls for Rock and Roll.”
Also the People’s Choice for Favorite Talk Show Host was Ellen DeGeneres, who is a known homosexual. This shows you that state of this country. This country is ripe for destruction. May we remember what God’s Word says about “the people’s choice”
Luke 16:15 “And He said to them, ‘You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.”
