Psalm 89, Pt. 1- “Still all about Him” Through the Bible series

Today’s Psalm centers on having God first, and how deserving He is of our Love and praise. God gives us the answer to depression, by telling us to “trade off the spirit of heaviness for the garment of praise.”

We also talk about the importance of the land and the people of Israel, how never going to get rid of or replace these “natural branches”, because of the promise that “as long as the sun and moon endure” His love will not depart from them. We are not to boast or be prideful and haughty against them.

Psalm 88: “Waiting on God and Not Losing Hope” Through the Bible series

Today’s Psalm we talk about feeling rejected, crying out to God, and the fear that He could be hiding his face from us. We don’t always get to hear God, when we want to hear him, and this requires Faith on our part, that His timing is always perfect and requires us to wait and abide in our relationship with Him. Struggling to understand, it doesn’t come easy. Being self willed and just doing whatever we want is a much simpler option!

We talk about the ways God gives us to continue to abide, so we don’t get stuck and trust in a formula of when, where, why, how. We have to continue to speak with Him to grow and know His will for the future.
