Today’s Psalm is on the subject of the foolishness of trusting in riches, but also trusting in strength, superheroes, or whatever it be, if it is not God. We are encouraged to humble ourselves, not be pumped up with pride in “our accomplishments” but to give credit where it is due, to the One who gave it.

Today’s Psalm is about guarding our mind and tongue, personal stories, the difference in boasting, pride, and boldness, the stories of David, Absalom, and Joab, a fathers heart, and what is means that “cursed is every one that is hung on a tree”.
